"Challenge Accepted"

Tagisan ng Talino (TnT) is one of the most-awaited activities of STI which happens annually. It is an academic competition where in students' knowledge, skills, and creativity was acknowledged. It has eight categories, Stand up and Deliver, Shutters’ Best, All in Place, Worth the Whisk, Chef Express, Essay Does it, Into Programming and App and Running to be participated on by Senior High school and College students. This contest is really an interesting intellectual competition for so many reasons. First, I noticed that this event is just a simple happening because it don't need so much decorations or anything that could make the event looks beautiful; unlike those occasions that happened or about to happen in STI that requires the beautification of the stage by using lights, and even by dressing those involved students with fascinating clothes; yet, it still inspires students to be excellent, to improve more, and to be a competitor not only in the school but also globally. Second, it is helpful for the participants. Through this contest, they can be challenged not only with their intelligence but also with their trust in their selves. Just like in the Stand Up and Deliver category; it is an impromptu speech competition that focuses on the student’s ability to think fast and give right answer to the question. It brings pressure to the participants; and the fact that they have to stand in front of the crowd gives more tension. Someone said to me that joining this kind of educational competition doesn't always have to be participated by only smart people. Even the talented ones could join. Yes, I think it's true because we know that we have these things where we excelled in and naturally born with. So, if we think that we are good at something, why don't we challenge ourselves to join and to know what to improve more?
